Abstract

The authors of the wrapped up lengthy publication (the beginning and sequel of the article were published in the first and second issues of Rossiisky Ekonomichesky Zhurnal for 2015, respectively) offer huge and well-structured factual and statistical materials illustrating a unique effect of combination, during the years of Great Patriotic war, of the heroic efforts of soviet scientists, designers and engineers with the advantages of planning mobilization economy.

GEOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF FRONT NEEDS

Abstract

The article consistently highlights two major topics: (a) geological and geographical support of soviet army operations during the Great Patriotic war, the relevant contribution of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and of a range of military-geological units created on the basis of SpetsGeo Trust; (b) a powerful boost to the development of soviet geological science given in 1941—1945 (including spatial transfer of several of its base centers to the east) and national economic application of its achievements constitute the major landmark of the port-war – preperestroika – evolution of this science and its institutional organization.

Abstract

Summary of the reviewer thoughts on a comprehensive treatise of an authoritative scholar (Sc.D. /Economics/, Professor, Honored Scientist of the RF, Lab head, Institute of Systems Analysis, RAS) includes a thesis on the actual presence in it of two relatively independent storylines (the first, core one deals with the post-soviet market transformation of national economy without regard to its systemic instability, which in the first place determines its permanently crisis state; the second is associated with the project approach in the investment policy and investment performance measurement), however organically integrated when substantiating the positive anti-crisis measures related to "reforming the unreformed" naturally current in the investment domain too.

FINNISH REBOUND OF EU SANCTIONS AGAINST RUSSIA

Abstract

The article reviews the impact of EU/Russia counter sanctions on Finland`s economy. Proceeding from the analysis of official Finnish statistics related to the state of the Republic`s economy and its foreign economic relations, the author substantiates the current damages and predicts further destabilization of the already complicated situation in the national economy of our counteragent, given preservation and tightening of the sanctions regime on the part of the European Union.
